Starting last September 2007,
the Knights of Columbus have been spreading the devotion to Our Lady of Charity through a Marian Hour of Prayer program. This yearlong, rosary-centered event and the Icon of Our Lady of Charity will be coming to St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 7:00 pm in cooperation with the Legion of Mary for a Living Rosary. The Legion of Mary and Knights of Columbus invite all to attend this special occasion. Since 1979, the Order has sponsored Marian Hour prayer programs devoted to Mary under various titles; an estimated 12 million people have attended more than 70,000 K of C prayer services.

Unionville Memorial day Parade
Uncas Council and Archbishop Henry J. O'Brien Assembly were well represented at the 2008 parade. Several vintage cars driven by members and friends added greatly to our presence and provided transportation for members not able to march. Thanks go to everyone for a great job representing the Knights of Columbus and showing their support for our troops and veterans both living and deceased.

Relay For Life
We thank all the members who supported this great event by providing security for parking and participants over night. We also thank all of the members and their families for joining the walk and just showing support for the survivors and to the memory all those who have fallen to cancer.

Next year we need to get an earlier start on the walk and soliciting walk sponsors.
